MY MEMORİES BEYOND TİME

That day, I woke up just like every other day, washed my hands and face and headed to school. When we feel like something is going to happen, we feel a stomach ache, but I didn’t pay any attention to it and continued walking, turning on music. But then something terrible happened. A man started hitting the woman. These were things that happened a lot in the country I lived in, and I was uncomfortable with it, and while trying to protect the woman and separate her from the man, I felt a pain in my stomach.

Then, when I opened my eyes, I was in a completely white room. While I was trying to understand what was happening, different people with headscarves came in and asked me about my favorite memory. I was scared and confused. As a result, people I didn’t know were asking me about my favorite memory in a completely white room. I tried to stay calm and asked why they were asking me this question. I was speechless at the answer I received. I was dead and these people were trying to take me to my favorite memory. I started to cry because it meant I could never see the people I loved again, but I had a great chance and I could go to the memory I wanted. At that moment, many memories came to my mind, but one of them was the best and I chose it and told them about my memory. A few seconds later, I woke up on the morning of the day of my memory. After waking up as usual and washing my hands and face, I went towards the beautiful smell coming from the kitchen. My mother had made menemen and everyone was at the table: my mother, my grandmother, my father and my only brother. As usual, we started talking about the country’s agenda and we were all very peaceful. This filled my eyes. After breakfast, we watched magazines and gossiped with my mother and grandmother. At that time, I was in high school and my brother was in primary school. I made my brother do his homework and took him to the pool. That week was my birthday week and it was September. However, since we lived in a very hot city, the weather was still hot. After swimming for a while, my best friend called and asked if I was ready for the concert. That day, there was a concert of one of our favorite bands, and we were going with our group of friends. I was very excited, but I wasn’t ready, and when I realized this, I got a little nervous and started getting ready immediately. It was time for the concert, I called my father and we got in the car and left. I was very excited. When I got there, I met my friends. There were five of us, we all knew and loved each other very well, which meant adding five times to our fun. Finally, the group came out and we had a lot of fun. We jumped, laughed and had fun. I don’t remember ever having so much fun in my life. Then we went out and sat in a cafe that was open 24/7. After a while, everyone dispersed to their homes and my father came to pick me up. After a wonderful night. I went to sleep and I went to cry.

So what, was I going to never see them again? While I was thinking about these, I fell asleep and while I was sleeping, I thought about these things:While we experience memories, we see them as insignificant little details, but they are what make us who we are.
