LONG LIVE TURKISH REPUBLIC!

Republic is a State management system in which public, that is, people, the nation, is governed by means of those whom they elect and authorize. It is also the most appropriate form of government for human dignity. When it is reinforced with democracy and human rights, the Republic becomes so tasty that you never want to leave it .

The Turkish nation has established many states in history. All of them have existed to enable them to get rid of the yoke of other nations who want to establish sovereignty over them; to live independently. Independence is the only thing that the Turkish nation can never give up. And when the time came to the twentieth century, the Turkish nation established the republic by fighting great struggles in the First World War and then in the War of Independence against its enemies who wanted to expel it from the heavenly Anatolia, even to erase it from the stage of history. The desire of the people is to live freely and independently in this homeland in the beauty of the republic until Doomsday.

The Republic was not established easily. We came to 1923 by challenging against many states and and giving hundreds of thousands of martyrs. And God didn’t want this nation to be erased from the stage of history, He gave Mustafa Kemal to him as a sword in his battle against this dragon with seven heads.

He, Mustafa Kemal, appeared in Çanakkale in the first of the nation’s survival wars and led his nation to exit with victoryfrom the environment described by Mehmet Akif as follows:

The old world, the new world, all the people

Are boiling like sand, like flood, very crowded

All the seven climates of universe are here

With Australia you can see Canada

Different faces, different languages, colors of skins

The only event is shared by all, the barbarities

But the enemy didn’t give up. They occupied many places of Anatolia. They planned to share our homeland, to enslave The Turk firstt and then to annihilate them. But they didn’t really know the Turk. They didn’t know what a nation who adopted the word “Either Independence or Death” as a flag for itselfcould do. But they would find out.

They learned that it is impossible to chain the Turk; that they wouldn’t not be able to take his homeland which is protected by his faithful chest; that he wouldn’t hurt the martyrs lying without shrouds even if they give the heavens; that he would make life unbearable for his enemies in order not to be separated from his homeland; that there is no destruction to this nation forever.

So we found out: that the independence of the nation will be saved again by the determination and decision of the nation;that staying away from science and weaker than the enemies turn them into monsters; that the way to become strong passes from raising generations whose thought, conscience and knowledge are unconstrained; that these generations can grow up only in a republican environment; that we should not leave our will and future to a single sultan, a few people or a group.

And our republic has turned 100 years old. As time goes by, this nation understands its importance and beauty better, wants it to surround themselves like the sky and cries out to friend and enemy:

Learn, the Turkish homeland can not be leered at

Sea water can’t be drunk, Çanakkale can’t be crossed

Our hearts rejoice with the love of the Republic

No withdraw from here, the shadow of my flag.

This is Anatolia, this is our homeland

Republic’s light enlightened our path

From our inside, homeland and flag love overflows

Greetings to our ancestors and Ata, from all of us.
