Life Changer

I still remember the day when I first saw her. It was a boring but busy day with a couple of exams. I was sitting in the corner of the class with a pretty bad mood, feeling stressed due to our exams. On those days I had no friends  because I was the “nerd” of the class. Even mentioning that period of my life makes me become demoralized. I was seriously had no one to talk or open my heart. Moreover, my relationship with my parents wasn’t that good. I was becoming more and more insecure, withdrawing into myself more every single day and had no energy or ambition to change this. However, life gave me the chance to change these all, put that new girl into our class.

I have to admit that I wasn’t really interested when our teacher told us their will be a new girl attending to our class.  For me it was just another person who was going to make fun of me. The truht showed itselfs minutes after I thought this. It was a quiet and shy girl. She came and sat next to me, the only empty set in the classroom. I was in a conflict between opening a conversation or not bothering her. My curiosity won, so I said “Hi!” to her trying to talk with a nice voice. As she turned to me, I saw the tears in her eyes.

I was in shock and didn’t know what to do. I remember asking what happened to her. She told me that her mother passed out the past day. I felt so sad and broken that I couldn’t talk for a few seconds. That day, I tried to comfort her with my words. She opened up to me and informed me about her life. This was how we became friends.

From that day, we talked to each other every day, shared every secret of ourselves and kept them. After some months, I started to have feelings for her. I was acting shy at first but then I found out that she was in the same situation as me. The other day I gathered my confidence and asked her out.

Her voice saying “Yes” is still in my memory. I don’t think I will ever be able to forget it. If I were a cloud, I could have been this happy and relaxed. I literally felt weightless for a few minutes. We had a healthy and reliable relantionship till the end of highschool. When our school ended, we immediantly got married. We now have three kids. This is the story of how my life changed with love.
