IF THERE IS NO WAR AND EXPLOITATION, THERE ARE NO REFUGEES

Today, the refugee problem is one of the main problems of many countries in the world, including our country. In the future, this problem will continue to grow. Our country is among the countries most affected by this problem due to its geographical location, .  So what is the reason that pushes people to migrate from their countries and to geographies they do not recognize? We can list many dynamics, but the most important ones include war, poverty, having better opportunities.

If we do not go too far and touch on the issue through our own country, millions of people have migrated to our country due to the war in Syria and Iraq in recent history. This migration influx, which we caught unplanned, has caused many problems in our country. In some cities of our country, the foreign population is unfortunately higher than the Turkish population. This is an indication that our demographic structure is in danger.  If we had a more planned migration policy before the refugee influx, we could have overcome this problem more easily as a country. Especially if they were placed in large cities such as Istanbul and Ankara in a planned way in proportion to the population by preventing them from piling up in numbers, there would be less problems. Large well-developed camps could be set up for refugees in the border areas and these people could be directed to more rural areas instead of urban centers in a planned manner.European countries added value to their own countries by choosing educated refugees at the beginning of the event. But our problem has grown even bigger because the vast majority of refugees in our country are more uneducated and poor. We had to do more to educate these people and make them fit into our country.   In addition, accepting the money that European countries pay to our state so that the refugees stay in our country and not pass them to Europe has actually made our country more difficult.

Refugees have had and continue to have thousands of children since their arrival. It should be an important element of our education policy to educate the children of these refugees, most of whom will remain in our country after this time, and to make them more productive individuals for our country. Otherwise, these people may gang up and create more dangerous problems for our country. Deporting refugees involved in crime and making it impossible for them to return again will be a deterrent for others. It is vital that countries follow their own refugee policies. Developed countries should stop starting wars in many parts of the world, especially in the Middle East geography, and urgently start the necessary healing initiatives for these people to return to their countries.

At least these innocent people can make their country more livable by exploiting their country less. So the problem is over before it starts. As Turkey, we should make more efforts for the return of refugees to their countries and pursue a constructive foreign policy. Otherwise, the demographic structure of our country may undergo a great change.
