IF I Was a Mayor

There are numerous issues to consider when running a city. The most important of these problems are: environmental pollution, traffic, infrastructure problems and earthquake-resistant buildings. If I were a mayor, I would first address these four basic problems and try to end these problems. I would raise the awareness of the citizens by using public service ads and posters for environmental pollution and ensure that the citizens keep the environment clean. To reduce traffic, I would support the use of public transport and improve the number and quality of public transport, giving priority to the installation of rail systems such as metro and tram. Thus, I would both reduce the traffic density and reduce the traffic accidents related to the density. For infrastructure problems, I would ensure the establishment of covered reinforced concrete infrastructure tunnels known as “Utility Tunnel”, which enable infrastructure systems such as water, electricity, natural gas and telephone to be laid together. I inform the homeowners about identifying and strengthening the buildings that are not resistant to earthquakes, demolishing the structures that cannot be strengthened and having earthquake resistant buildings built instead. Then I would support the homeowners in the construction of new and durable buildings using municipal facilities at cost and ensure that people live safely in new and durable buildings. I would inspect the newly built structures very carefully and prevent any mistakes and intentional damage.  Thanks to these regulations, citizens both live in safer conditions and provide inner-city order.
