For the Human Life

We all get sick from time to time and take medicine to get better. So how do drug manufacturers test whether these drugs will work well?

They use animals to perform the test and observe the effects it will have on them. Thus, there are opportunities to further develop the drug or they start to put it on the market. Some argue that animals should not be used for these tests, while others argue that animals should be used for these tests and then made available to people. To be clear, I am in favor of experimenting on animals, but The 8th edition of the Universal Declaration of Animal Rights, proclaimed on October 15, 1978 at the UNESCO house in Paris according to the article, “Conducting experiments that cause physical or psychological suffering to animals is contrary to animal rights. This is also the case for all kinds of experiments in medical, scientific, commercial and other forms.” When we review this article of the law, such painful, physically and psychologically damaging experiments and tests are prohibited by law. But since most pharmaceutical companies use animals to test drugs, technically this law is violated. There is also a situation that, whether volunteering is essential or not, conducting drug experiments on people is also not the right thing to do. If we assume that experiments are being conducted on humans, that means we are ignoring human rights. Animals are also part of the ecosystem. I think it is necessary to do some things for humanity and the continuation of humanity. A human being is a being who has a mind and a will. It may sound too cruel, but it is important for human health that the delivery of medicines is carried out on animals. This is the best option, at least until we find a way in medicine where we can do the tests differently. It is easier for a newborn animal to grow and develop than for a newborn human. If we think about a wildebeest cub, they start walking as soon as they are born. But when we look back at a human newborn, it takes almost two and a half years for a person to walk and do something on his own. If we connect the issue, the reproduction of animals is faster, but humans do not have such a situation. Therefore, it is more likely to breed test animals separately and it is something that will not harm the ecosystem.

In short, although animal rights are violated, everything that is done and can be done for humanity is more vital.
