If I were a business owner, what would I do to double up my productivity in my workplace? I would make the following changes to increase productivity:
- I would revise or add some rules that are currently too strict. They currently include:
a. No one can go somewhere at certain times except for basic needs.
b. I’d establish designated eating times divided into two groups: main meal times and snack times.
c. Until you finish your job, you cannot engage in any activities other than your assigned task. Once completed, you should inform the supervisor or manager before moving on to another task.
d. Regular breaks would be provided for relaxation and rest, allowing employees to communicate, ask questions, and exchange advice with each other.
e. Set fixed arrival and departure times for employees.
- Besides implementing new rules, employees are also crucial for productivity. They are one of the most important factors. These are the qualities I would look for in employees:
a. Employees should possess strong communication skills and foster good relationships with their colleagues.
b. Choose employees who adhere to the rules, strive to achieve goals, understand when to be serious, and maintain focus.
If employees adhere to these guidelines, productivity would increase, and the work environment would improve.
