Finding Ourselves

I believe we have some power over our personal conditions. Intelligence and personal qualities are not factors we’re born with. They are shaped based on our choices and our surroundings. As time passes, these makings can change too. When we are born, we have no train of thought. Therefore, we gain information and start to form perspectives. These perspectives, help us make choices. And with the choices we make our personalities are shaped. Also, the environment that we are present in has an impact on our intelligence level. The things that we go through, and all of our memories are the base of our intelligence level and personal qualities.

For example, if a person experiences a certain event at any time throughout their life and this experience has affected them in any way, they could gain or change their personal qualities. Another example is that a child or a teenager could easily be affected by the people around them. If they don’t receive respect, they won’t treat anyone with respect thinking that that’s the right thing to do because they see it that way. We have control over ourselves, and we are the ones that make decisions to create our identities. So I do believe that we shape ourselves and it’s not something that has already occurred. I also believe that intelligence is based on knowledge and experience, so it’s not something we are born with. We are powerful beings, and it’s in our hands to create our features. Our personality and intelligence levels are what make us different from other people If these qualities were innate and were passed by genetics, it would not be accurate, and everyone would have the same level. That’s why there are many different types of personality types and social categories. Because we are different.

In conclusion, I don’t think personal qualities and intelligence are innate. I believe that we create ourselves in our own ways. Everyone has different experiences, memories, and different levels of knowledge. These are the features that set us apart and make us a whole individually. When we’re born, we are just existing. As we start to form our personalities, we start to live. Like Oscar Wilde said, ‘’To live is the rarest thing in the world; some people just exist, that’s all.
