The fact that we have the technology to be able to manufacture mass amounts of electric vehicles is fascinating. This is surprising because of the truth that we did not have the necessary technologies to manufacture mass amounts of “normal” otherwise known as gas vehicles. The world is changing and so should we. This means that this is a good thing, right?
The thing is, on the international platform it is important that a country does not give the upper hand to the “opposition” block. This may seem like an unethical way of doing things for the world, however an opposition is a vital part of a great questioning process. Also for those who are not familiar with politics, this is how lawmakers and legislators make things work in the parliament (if the country has one). Without opposition there would be no one to object anything, meaning everything would be passed without any brainstorming.
Another technique that countries use to prevent giving the advantage to the other country is gatekeeping. If we were to describe this, it would mean not sharing certain technologies or informations. This is more controversial than any other technique as it involves slowing down the development process of things. However it is certainly within the rights of a country to do what is necessary to preserve their technology and use them for their benefit.
The main trigger of mass production is mass consumption. A great consumer example in the world is the United States of America as listed down below.
The main producer of electric vehicles used to be the brand “Tesla”. However now it seems like the US has given the upper hand to China as they are the first country to produce ten million electric vehicles annually.
This will contribute to the world as a “better for the environment” car. Although the main benefit is its cheapness. When the amount created of something increases, the price decreases. This is why big countries impose extra tariffs to Chinese companies and increase the price.
To sum things up, the mass production of cheap and environment-friendly electric vehicles is good for the world but bad for the opposing countries. This road may lead to a global crisis. Who knows, maybe the third world war will be caused by electric vehicles?
