So, I researched about this plot and I came to many assumptions of my own. I learned that I learned that their main purpose was to conduct research on changing the hereditary characteristics of living things and giving them new functions, and thus to achieve results such as isolating and multiplying the genes in living things, combining the genes of different living things, or transferring genes from one living thing to another. Such an important profession will contribute greatly to us in the future as it does now. Then let’s take a look at the contributions genetic engineering will make to us in the future. When I think about the contributions genetic engineering will make to us in the future, the first thing that comes to my mind is the treatment of genetic diseases. Because if genetic diseases are treated, revolutionary developments will occur. That’s why this factor is very important. The second theory is agriculture and food security. In fact, this issue is very closely related to our health because today many diseases can arise from agriculture and food insecurity, but I think that there will be more opportunities for agriculture and food safety in the future and I do not think that we will have any concerns about this issue as technology changes and develops day by day. The first of the negative aspects of genetic engineering that will emerge in the future is the fact that genetic diversity will decrease and we will gradually disrupt the natural balance.
Because as genetic studies continue to increase, unfortunately they will harm nature. Another negative effect is that new health problems will arise, which are very important for us. Yes, while talking about the positive aspects of genetic engineering in the future, I said that I thought there would be solutions to diseases, but while we find solutions to some diseases, we may not be able to prevent the emergence of new diseases.
