DISAPPEARANCE OF MOSQUITOES

“The disappearance of mosquitoes would not lead to a significant change in the ecosystem.” Do you agree with this idea? I do agree with this idea. Yes, bugs are one of the important factors of the ecosystem, as most of them have a significant role in pollination and the food web. But mosquitoes aren’t as important as all those other bugs because they aren’t a key factor in the ecosystem. Mosquitoes may cause some diseases that should be considered and must be treated, such as malaria. According to the opinions of some scientists, the disappearance of mosquitoes wouldn’t affect the ecosystem significantly as it heals itself over decades. Some even say that it would be a lot better for humanity as the decrease in malaria becomes visible. Of course, this disappearance may be felt, even missed by humanity, but it seems to be a good effect for our species.
