It’s the year 2035, and Earth has become so polluted that I had to leave my home country and move to Mars. Yes, after years of preparation, my scientist friends and I have been living on Mars for over a year now. I have to admit, I haven’t fully adapted to life here, but at least I’m not alone—I have my friends by my side.
My scientist friends and I live in a settlement that looks like an igloo, but in reality, it’s a well-designed and comfortable home. As scientists, we dedicate our days to research, constantly working on innovations that can benefit humanity. Of course, we face challenges, but we always strive to find solutions.
One major challenge is food. We need meals rich in vitamins, proteins, and carbohydrates—like vegetables—but Mars has no natural soil. To solve this, we created our own soil and now grow vegetables in a laboratory. We have also developed special containerized foods that keep us full for long periods.
Living on Mars is not easy, but with science and teamwork, we continue to adapt and improve our new home.
