Should the number of prisons in the country be increased or should new laws be passed to reduce crime rates instead?
I think increasing the number of prisons is not a solution. Instead, if laws are passed to reduce crime rates, there will be no need to build more prisons. At the same time, people will feel safer on the streets, for example, with a decrease in the rate of strain. I think it should be enough of a deterrent. I think crime rates have increased because there is not enough deterrent. That’s why new laws need to be enacted.
