Consequence’s of Pollution in Citys

Pollution is one of the biggest and most important issue of cities nowadays. And of course, the effects of this pollution are seen in Ankara, just like in other cities. Streets full of garbage and waste, dirty water sources are the first things that come to mind when the word pollution is heard. But in my opinion, pollution does not only consist of this; unplanned urbanization, tall and ugly buildings that are not suitable for the structure of the region, and street paintings that damage the city architecture and history are also pollution.

So what are the consequences and effects of pollution?  Clean air and water resources are necessary for the survival of humanity and the pollution of this very important resources will make our world uninhabitable for future generations.  Also diseases like asthma, lung diseases, allergic disorders bronchitis caused by air pollution. Filling the streets and living spaces with garbage and waste creates danger and discomfort for both local people and those who visit the city.Due to environmental problems, cholera, cancer, fungal diseases, dysentery and similar diseases emerge and threaten human life. On the other hand because of unplanned urbanisation cities lost their 1000 year history. When you think about it, wouldn’t a tall ugly building next to a building that reflects hundreds of years of history and is a work of art in itself spoil the entire magic of that city?

In conclusion , clean air, unpolluted water resources, historical artifacts reflecting a history of hundreds of years, and the structure of the city that adds a different magic to the city are a centuries-old trust that we must protect. I just talked about the importance of protecting our city, but I have not yet mentioned how we will do it. Not discharging toxic wastes into water resources and factories not releasing polluted gases into nature without purification is one of the few ways to prevent air and water pollution. In addition, people taking care to recycle, keeping the streets and avenues clean, and throwing their waste where it belongs, that is, in the trash and recycling bins, will keep the city clean. Finally, urbanization planning will be a way to modernize and expand cities without damaging the existing structure of the city.
