The students have wanted an out-of-school activity for a while and were trying to agree on a single club. Three options were given: a sports club, a coding class, and an art workshop.
The sports club would include sports like football, basketball, and volleyball, while the coding club would have two volunteer teachers to teach the students coding and technical skills. Lastly, students would be able to do any type of art they wanted to at the art workshop.
We interviewed 50 random students around the school, all the same age, and asked them which club they would like after explaining every pro and con. The results were wildly divergent so we couldn’t decide on a single club to decide on.
We then decided to do an anonymous voting survey. Every student voted on their choice of club, and in the end, it was seen that the ones who wanted the sports club were mostly boys, while girls preferred the art workshop. However, the coding club had a noteworthy number of votes, so it was decided that the coding club would be the one.
In conclusion, it was decided that the coding club would be active in our school. The students are also waiting for help from the headteachers to improve the club.
