My alarm started ringing at 8 am. My lesson was going to start at 8.15. But there was nothing to worry about. Because of the corona, everyone was locked at home. And it wouldn’t take me 5 minutes to turn on my computer and enter the meeting. Of course, I would choose this life instead of going to school. I loved this casual life. Who wouldn’t want to video chat with their friends on their phone all day long, listening to their lessons in their bed, shopping without going out, spending a week in pajamas. As I turned on the computer, I remembered that I had to grocery shop today. Because there was nothing left in the house. So while trying to connect to the internet on my computer I turned on my phone to order grocery. But I suddenly realised that I had 10 missed calls from my mom and 5 missed calls from my friend. I panicked. And called my mom to ask what happened. While the phone was ringing my computer was still giving an error trying to connect to the internet and I panicked more because I was two minutes late for the meeting. When my mom picked up the phone she told me there will be no internet. At first I thought that there was a problem with our modem until she told me that this issue was happening all over the world. Although I was glad that there was no school at first, I realized that this problem would create a bigger chaos than corona. Especially during the pandemic. Everyone was at home. What would people do? Couldn’t go out because there was a curfew. luckily i was still able to talk to my friends. I could hear their voices even though they were not visible. But of course, I couldn’t spend all day talking to my friends. Even thinking about myself communicating for 24 hours was making me tired. Then we came face to face with my library that I hadn’t opened for 5 years. Every time I met my grandfather, one of his 10 sentences was to tell me one of the benefits of reading a book. I think he was the person in my family who wanted me to read the most. I was just the opposite. I, who can only do paragraph questions by copying, had been thinking about reading a book. I had nothing else to do. It occurred to me for a moment that I was going to spend my day hungry. I rummaged through the cabinets and found a packet of pasta. I boiled my water and started boiling my pasta. While I was waiting for my pasta to boil, I took a book from my library and started reading. Then, when I lifted my head, I realized that my pasta was overflowing. My pasta was boiling for about an hour. A life without internet made me read a book. It may be a bigger chaos than this for me to pick up a book and read it again.
Chaos That Made Me Open A Book
