Tomorrow is the first day of university and I am really looking forward to it. After dinner, we talked with my family about the university, which is the beginning of my new life. Everyone in my family, including me, had a question on our minds. How would I get back from school? To be clear, all my previous schools were close to my house and I had no problems getting to or from my parents if I wanted to go somewhere. My dad would drop me off at school in the morning, but when I got back from school, my mom and dad would be at work. Since it was the first day of school, there were no shuttle buses. Anyway, we thought that was our only problem. After we chatted some more, I went to bed early so I would not be late for school.
I could not sleep at night because of the excitement. Somehow it was morning, it was a difficult and exciting night. Although I was sleep-deprived, I was happy inside. After having breakfast, I prepared myself well and went to the door to put on my shoes. Before I went out the door, my mother gave me a jacket and I thought, “Why do you need a jacket in this hot weather?” But my mother made me buy it. My father took me to school. When I entered the school, there were many people who were excited like me, trying to know their surroundings and hug their friends for a long time. Since my school is an international school, there were people from different countries. Everyone was beautiful. Since it was the day of the meeting and getting to know each other, everything was decorated and music sounded from the background. Full of joy to see new people, I went to the place where the music could be heard. People gathered, ate snacks and everyone was very happy.
I had a great day. I loved my university. I also met some people. I did not know how to get home and it was a little cold. As my mother had suspected. I immediately put on the jacket my mother had given me that morning. My phone ran out of battery while I was looking for directions. I did not know what to do and was confused. Since my hands were cold, I reached into my pocket and found a piece of paper. There was an address written on it. It looked like my mother’s writing. The address written on it was our home address. My mother wrote everything on a piece of paper. Thanks to that piece of paper, I could easily go home.
