Book Review

Impossible Creatures

Have you ever thought what would it be like if another continent with magical creatures existed? If so, the book named ‘Impossible Creatures’ by Katherine Rundell tells a magnificent story that teaches a lot of lessons is just for you!

It all starts when a young boy named Christopher comes to stay at his grandfather’s house. His grandfather warns him about on thing: not to go to the top of the hill near the house. But of course, the young boy doesn’t listen and climbs the hill, only to see magical creatures coming from the lake! There he meets a young girl named Malu, who is concerned about the magic ending in her world. Her and Chirstopher later on meet two adults named Nighthand and Irian. These four face up several adventures while trying to bring back the magic in Malu’s world.

Malu is truly one of the most inspiring characters I’ve ever read. Having the ability of staying strong no matter what happens while facing up her worst fears is quite impressive – especially with the breath-taking sacrifice she made at the ending! The book is a perfect mixture of a fantastic magical story and real life.

In conclusion, if you’re an adventure lover, this book is just for you! It doesn’t require an intense vocabulary to read and I, personally, have read it in a blink! With the unexpected ending and lots of plots in it, this book is perfect to buy.
