Are We Alone?

The universe that we live in is about 20 billion years old and it is unimaginably large and almost continues to enhance. Therefore, our universe is so big and old, there are many different ideas about how life can only be observed on Earth. There are generally two views on whether there is life outside of Earth, and both have their own supporting arguments.

The first of the ideas about whether there is life outside of Earth is the view that the possibility of life outside Earth is close to impossible because it is very difficult to form an atmosphere that supports carbon-based life like on our Earth. These people, who argue that the probability is very low, said, “There is a possibility, although it is low.” In response to this, they argue that no trace of life has been found in the observable universe.

People who believe that there may be other living things outside of Earth support that because of the unimaginable size and age of the universe there must be other living things outside of the Earth. They find it absurd that there is life on just a very small planet when we compare it with the whole universe. They say that observing any living form in the observable universe means nothing on a general scale. They argue that due to the fact that light waves in the unobservable universe still do not reach us, we cannot be aware of the beings living on the other side of the universe and that the speed of light is the limiting factor. Some people think that the absence of life in the observable universe outside of our planet means that it does not exist in the entire universe. Because the universe we can observe is too big for our minds to comprehend. However, it should not be forgotten that the observable universe is only 5 percent of the entire universe. In other words, the fact that we have not encountered any traces of life in the observable universe is not sufficient for us to comment on the entire universe.

As a result, it is not correct to say that there is no life outside the world cause the universe we cannot observe is very large, the speed of light cannot compete with the size of the universe, and we cannot do enough research and can’t understand whether messages are sent to us from other living things. In conclusion, the existence of life outside the world is more logical than the absence of it.
