I invented a time machine. When I activated the machine, I found myself in Ancient Egypt. Around me were great pyramids and ancient temples.
The sun was very hot. My clothes didn’t belong to that time, so they attracted attention. People were looking at me strangely. Fortunately, I had a guidebook that knew the Ancient Egyptian language. I opened the book and learned a few basic sentences.
As I walked down the road, a group of slaves was working in front of the pyramid. I approached them and greeted them. “Hello,” I said. They looked at me in surprise but responded.
Then a priest came up to me. “Who are you?” he asked. Using the sentences I had learned from the book, I said, “I am a traveler from a distant land.” The priest invited me to the temple. When we entered, the pictures and hieroglyphs on the walls were very impressive.
The priest asked if I wanted to see the pharaoh. Of course, I was very excited and immediately accepted. They took me to a great palace. The inside of the palace was decorated with gold and precious stones. The pharaoh was sitting on his throne. I bowed respectfully to him.
The pharaoh asked, “I have never seen someone like you before. Where do you come from?” I said, “I come from a land of the future.” He was surprised but curious. He asked me questions about the future. I talked about technology, flying cars, and tall buildings.
The pharaoh asked, “Can you teach us this knowledge?” But I didn’t give too much information to avoid disrupting the balance of time. “I’m sorry, the balance of time must not be disturbed,” I said.
The pharaoh understood this and thanked me. Later, they took me back to the pyramid. My time machine was there. I got into the machine and pressed the button. Instantly, I returned to my own time.
When I got home, I thought about what had happened. This short journey to Ancient Egypt would remain the most unforgettable memory of my life.
