An Odd, Average Life

Hi! My name is Jeff and I am a businessman. It’s not very interesting, I know but I can assure you that I am a funny guy! I mean at least I think so. Yesterday work was horrible. I couldn’t get my morning coffee and went to work tired. I missed the lunch time because I took a nap. I hate my job. I work at a place called “HEXEGON WORKS”. It has a lame name and they didn’t change for a long time. I wish I could just quit my work but how am I going to live? Without food or water my death would be guaranteed. I shouldn’t mind these. There is another day unfortunately. I just have to focus on it and I probably need more sleep as well. I slowly closed my eyes and fell asleep. I heard an alarm clock ringing as loud as it could be. But it wasn’t mine. It’s probably my neighbors. Wait, I don’t have any neighbors.
My life isn’t good like you think. My wife and my daughter died in a car accident, by a drunk driver. If I can only get him in my hands. Ha-ha I don’t think he could’ve escaped. He destroyed my life. He took the only thing I loved. My family. Yet, he was still alive and was walking around the streets like nothing happened. At first, I wanted you to see me as a happy and a funny guy. Welp, I tried. I’ll still try to be lovely in front of you but sometimes I can’t hold, just like now. Anyway, I got ready for work and got my morning coffee from Star Ducks. Yeah, Star Ducks was its name. Not Starbucks. That place is too expensive. I was waiting for the bus but then a young man came to the bus stop. He had something in his jacket. It was too obvious. Did he have a gun or something. No one would try to hide something legal. Oh, finally the bus arrived but the young man entered the same bus as me and went to the middle of the bus. He ripped his jacket shouting “Allahu Akbar!” He was a live bomb but had a timer on him, showing exactly 60 seconds. Everyone was panicking except me. I got the distress hammer above the window and first hit the bomb carrier to the head but slowly to only make him faint. Afterwards I broke the window and jumped from it. I got slammed to the concrete while the gravity rolling me. I felt like I broke a bone but surprisingly I didn’t! I got work sweaty and had concrete dust on my shirt. I gave it a shake then the dust flew away. I got to my desk and opened the PC. A video suddenly began playing. There was a window.
When I looked out the window, the whole family was sitting around the table, eating on the one hand. They were eating and talking. All of a sudden… They turned into ash. I remembered my… my parents, me, my wife and my daughter having a diner that my mother made. It was delicious. I still remember it. I yelled. “Hey Bob! This PC has virus again. Can you take care of this?” He was walking towards my desk. “I got you man. What did you do this time?” I answered. “I did nothing. When I opened it. It was already like this. I swear!” After he cleaned the PC from the mess. I began working for hours. It was night time. I packed my stuff to go home and got out the door. It was 00:12 am. There were a lot of drunk dudes on my way so I just tried not to get seen by them. But one of them spotted me. He charged me with his glass bottle but luckily, he was so drunk he couldn’t hit me. I got my guards up and punched him a few times but his friends came for back up. While I was trying to fight both of them the third one sneaked behind me and broke the glass bottle on my head. I was half conscious but still I needed the defend myself from these bums. I was just saying I got away I slipped and fell. I got up and kicked one of them. We had another 5-minute fight but then the cops came and handcuffed us all and they took us to the police station. After telling what happened they took me to the hospital and the doctors scanned me from x ray for any broken bones. My scapula and my calf bone were broken. They wrapped my hand with bandages and other stuff that I didn’t know, they laid me to the hospital bed and told me to rest a lot. I was really tired so that would be awesome and tomorrow I didn’t have to go to work. The room had a TV as well so now it was lay and watch time for me finally doing it after my loved one’s death. I haven’t done this for a long time and it felt awesome. I was once again happy.
