First of all, the reason why we are in Afyon (also known as Afyonkarahisar) is that Afyon is a city famous for its thermal waters. Who says no to hot water in this cold weather, right? In order to warm up a little bit, we experienced 5 days in the “Özgül Termal” hotel, one of the famous thermal hotels of Afyon. The hotel consists of a large area and has a thermal center. The thermal center is divided into two as men and women, where you can benefit from the thermal waters, and the center also has a normal pool, aquapark, jacuzzi, Turkish bath and steam room. Although the center is closed in the evenings, the hotel organizes various events every evening.
Of course, this thermal water is not only in the center. There is also a small pool for thermal water and a Turkish bath in the bathroom of your room. We enjoyed the thermal water in the morning in the center and in the evening in our own bathroom. Thermal water softens your skin and it is quite healthy so you can drink it, but I personally do not recommend it because it can burn your tongue. We also participated in a few events such as karaoke organized by the hotel in the evenings.
