Adam didn’t know where he was, it was getting darker per minute just a second ago he was with his friends who made him look for campfire wood. Now he was lost…
Deep within the woods, Adam was uncertain where he was going or what to do. The dense leaves obscured the trail, leaving him confused and anxious.
As daylight slowly disappeared, Adam’s sense of isolation increased. He tried to remember his wilderness survival training that he learned at high school, but panic came in faster than he thought. The forest, with different creatures and unfamiliar sounds, seemed to go against him though.
Suddenly night fell, and Adam started gathering some piece of wood leaves and branches to make a shelter, after a few minutes of difficulty he finally stoped and huddled beneath the shelter, the forest’s night sounds echoing around him. Fear gripped him as he faced the unknown.
Few rough days passed, on the 5th day, with dawn, a piece of hope, a distant clearing. Adam walked forward, driven by full determination.
Emerging into light, Adam spotted a road, a passing car. Relief washed over him as he realized he was found.
Lost in those woods, Adam discovered his inner selfe of resilience and the intense humility that nature can inspire.
