Have you ever thought about the purpose of life and the role of humanity in this world? Life is a totalization of the duration of you in the world. Every living thing has a life even if they haven’t been born like insects, bacteria, birds, etc.. They all have their purposes for the stability of the life circulation. For me, their purpose is to make the world suitable for humanity. For me, the main purpose of humans is to ease their conscience with the help of their ability to think. It could happen by helping the living things.
I believe we are different from animals. I agree with every scientific research that states humans are also animals. I am talking about the psychological or kind of neurological difference. Animals (except humans) could continue their lives with the help of their instincts but humans do their life processes by thinking. I highly believe that the “ability to think” is the most important difference between animals and humans. The ability to think is what makes us understand that we are living. There is also a quote from Descartes (who was an important philosopher in the Age of Enlightenment) about that topic “I think, therefore I am.”.
The ability to think is connected to speaking, determining what to do, or anything connected to neurological activities. If I have to give an example about it in daily life let’s think that we are in a restaurant and we have two options to eat one of them is pizza and the other one is hamburger to determine what we are going to eat we use our ability to think if we have any past opinion or experience about it. We could determine with the help of it. It is also connected to the difference between us and animals. Also for me having a conscience is dependent on the ability to think because conscience is an abstract thing.
In conclusion, we are different from other living things. Because of our ability of thinking which could help us to determine what to do or any basic activity like choosing what to eat. I also believe that we are different from other living things because we have a conscience.
