I was really bored. The school semester had ended and I couldn’t go anywhere because my parents were working. I tried to call some of my friends but they were either busy or out of town. I was about to lose hope when one of my friends, Luke, answered. I got really excited and asked him what he was doing Friday afternoon and if he wanted to meet up with me. He told me he was going on a camping trip with some of his friends. But when he saw how bored I was he asked me if I wanted to come too. At first, I didn’t think I didn’t want to go because I didn’t know anyone but I was also not going to sit and wait if someone actually wants to see me. So, I said OKAY. He asked his friends. They first thought him inviting a girl was not okay but they came around.
The day came, Luke picked me up from my house and I met his friends. They were actually quite nice guys. We came to the camping area and they helped me set up my tent. Luke asked me if I could gather some firewood from the forest. From my looks he understood that I couldn’t do that task on my own. Some of the guys requested to help me but Luke said that he would help me. So, we went into the woods. While we were picking up wood for the fire I heard a cracking. I asked Luke if we could return but he said it wasn’t enough and insisted on picking up more. My heart was beating like crazy and I kept getting closer to Luke. He got up and said “When I said I was going to help you I didn’t say I was going to do all the work.”. He looked at me and I was shaking. He asked me what was going on and at that moment a scary roar. He held my hand and started running. When we found a cave, we stopped. I was really angry because we were lost. I started yelling at him and he shouted “STOP!”. I didn’t know what to do. He said he would contact his friends. We spent the night trying to tell his friends where we were.
About three or four hours later they found us. It was about 05.00 am when we reached to the campground. Luke was still not talking to me because I was acting kind of annoying. When it was time to leave, I walked up to him and apologized. He accepted it and said that we should so this again.
