Does your country has many cultural heritages? In these days there’s lots of discussion on whether history artifacts or landscapes should be open to public, or protected under the goverment.
On the first hand, there is an incredible tourist attraction, especially for historical buildings like the Mediterranean coast has and the untouched natural beauty of South East Asia. Cultural heritage is seen as an incredible commodity, especially in countries whose economy is based on tourism. Also on the public side, millions of people who want to see these wonders of the world want access to these masterpieces of our past.
On the other hand, while using historical artifacts for tourism can be economically beneficial, it can also undermine the integrity and integrity of cultural heritage. Intentional or unintentional actions by people who are eager to see it can cause permanent damage to these artifacts. Furthermore, especially in natural areas, after the area is opened to the public, it is not uncommon for the natural balance to be disrupted by the increase in garbage and the beauty that has been protected for thousands of years to be wasted to make money.
In conclusion, While there are advantages such as economic tourism by opening cultural heritage to the public, we should not risk damaging, polluting and destroying the beauty of World Heritage Sites that we must protect together as humanity. So governments must protect these historical beauties at all costs.
