It was December 27, 1919 all of the people in Ankara were really excited that Atatürk was coming to Ankara, this included me too. ı woke up the earliest I have ever woken up in my lifetime and went to get ready. ı was really excited about seeing Atatürk. After I wore my most stylish, the most handsome -looking outfit I was saving for this day , I went out of my house to go there. Once we arrived at the place Atatürk was coming, I was flabergasted by the scene, there were thousands upon thousands of people waiting there. Then I said to myself “as it should be” and there was Atatürk himself.
It was literally the most beautiful scene in my life. I was looking at him non-stop and I wanted to talk to him but there was a lot of people ttying to do the same so it was a bit hard to do that. After a while, Atatürk started giving a speech. I was so amazed by his speaking skills and leadership. After his speech he took some questions from the people that came. Some people asked why are you helping this country and the others said you are my hero and stuff and Atatürk nicely answered all them. He is truly my hero too he is nice helpful and most of all he saved our country and such. So after that meet and greet stuff ended, I went back to my house and told my parents how great it was to meet Atatürk and see him in person. Then I went to bed hsppy knowing I have met with my hero Atatürk.
