There are so many children who can’t go to school. This is often because of their parents’ financial situation or the conditions in their country. Many children in African countries cannot attend school because they have to work to support their families. Unfortunately, there are numerous countries where this issue is overlooked.
Some governments do not address this problem adequately, and Türkiye is among them. However, organizations like UNICEF are doing a lot to help. While we can establish schools for these children, their care and education ultimately need to be supported by the state. As individuals, we cannot solve everything on our own, but we can contribute in meaningful ways.
I am fortunate to attend Bestepe College, but sadly, not everyone is so lucky—and it’s not their fault. Despite this, I believe we should do our best to help those in need.
Education is more than just learning how to read and write; it is the foundation for building a better life and breaking the cycle of poverty. When children are educated, they gain the tools to improve their own futures and make meaningful contributions to their communities. Without access to education, children are often trapped in a cycle of hardship, unable to escape the challenges they were born into. By supporting education initiatives, we are not just helping individuals but also fostering a stronger, more equitable global society.
