Enabling students to take part in out-of-school activities is important in ensuring a healthy balance in their routine and promoting their wellbeing. For instance, such activities allow students to relax after a long, tiring day of academic work and help them in both physically and mentally as it has been established. Also, as per the surveys conducted with students and their parents, I was able to evaluate three options.
1. Sports Club
A Sports Club gives students the opportunity to engage in events like football, basketball, swimming, etc. All these activities help in promoting fitness levels among students allowing them to relieve their minds from the stresses of academics and get physical. Studies show that engaging in sports and exercises on a normal basis boosts not only energy levels but also focus and cooperation which are key in achieving both academic and social goals.
2. Art Workshop
Through the Art Workshops, the students get a chance to practice their skills in painting, drawing and other forms of arts. These are some of the activities that enable students to take a break but also build skills like being attentive to superficial details and being imaginative. The parents also mentioned that art is important in communication and building a person’s emotional toughness.
3. Outdoor Adventure Program
Outdoor Adventure Programs in the form of hiking, camping, rock climbing and the like allow students to experience the outdoors while performing strenuous activities. They include activities that encourage creativity, resolve challenges and enhance teamwork. Many students seemed to enjoy the thrill that these activities offered.
Recommendation
While each option has its own distinct merits, I suggest that the case for the Sports Club should come first. This is the most rounded option since it combines being involved in physical activity with honing of skills. Moreover, the broad appeal of this program means that students with different fitness levels will be able to participate and benefit from the program.
For marketing purposes, a picture of students practicing any team activity sport; for example, football or basketball would show the active and interactive nature of the Sports Club.
This recommendation is in line with the school’s philosophy of promoting all round development benefiting all students and their health.
