One sunny morning, Lucas woke up feeling curious. He had borrowed an old book from the library the day before and couldn’t wait to read it. The book was thick and smelled like dust, with a cover that looked ancient. He sat on his bed and opened it to the first page. As he began reading, something strange happened. A figure suddenly jumped out of the pages and landed on the floor with a soft thud. Lucas jumped back in surprise. The figure was a little man, no taller than his knee, with a green hat and a coat made of leaves. He looked at Lucas with wide eyes.
“Who are you?” Lucas asked, amazed.
“I’m Pip,” said the little man. “I’ve been trapped in this book for years. Thank you for letting me out!”
Lucas stared in wonder. “What do you mean, trapped?”
Pip explained, “I’m from a magical world, but I was stuck inside the book until someone opened it. Now that you’ve done that, I’m free!”
Without warning, Pip grabbed Lucas’s hand. “Come on! Let’s go on an adventure!”
Before Lucas could say anything, the room around him started to spin. Suddenly, they were standing in a beautiful forest, full of colorful flowers and strange creatures.
“This is amazing!” Lucas said, grinning.
And so, Lucas and Pip began an incredible adventure, one that would take them through forests, over mountains, and into places Lucas had only ever imagined.
