Brisbane Dream

It was 4 years ago. One Sunday morning, I had nothing to do and asked my parents to take me to the swimming pool. That time I did not know how to swim. The first few weeks my trainer started showing me how to stay on the water. During the pandemic, I had to stop swimming because the pool was closed.

After two years pause, I resumed swimming exercises two and half years ago. The first year was not good, I was not good, races were not good. During one of the races, I told myself that I will be in Brisbane in 2032, Olympic Games.

Since then, I started doing very heavy exercises, early mornings 5 days a week, 45-50 km distance of swimming. I stop eating sweets, got my diet programmed by an expert, and started working with a psychologist who is an Olympian, and was in Rio Olympic Games in 2016. Within last two years, I became Ankara Champion for 11 time and Regional Champion for twice.

Nowadays, I have 9 swimming exercises a week and two gym exercises: 5 days a week waking up at 5:00 AM, after evening exercises coming back home at 9:00 PM. Beside all these, I also do all my homework on time and have time with my dogs and family.

But today, I do not regret it, and I am so glad I said, “I will be in Brisbane”.

I hope all your dreams come true.
