Years ago, at 1995, two siblings had just finished preparing for their recital together. The sister’s name was Harlow, and the brother’s name was Apollo. However, a few months before the recital, Harlow had passed away due to a really bad disease from birth.
Apollo, unable to accept his older sister’s death, used dreaming as his coping mechanism. And so, he ditched the school. He didn’t bother to get up from bed to eat. He just dreamed all day in his bed. But soon enough, his dreams led him to a specific, blue door; his headspace. He spent so many years perfecting this world in order to create an exact replica of his world where the happy times never ended, that the dreams shaped itself into another universe. A universe that belonged to none, other than Apollo. He had become the god of his world now. It was a beautiful place. But alas! Cracks started appearing. And the world was left abandoned. After returning to his own reality, Apollo went to visit his sister’s grave after so many years of isolation. He talked to the grave for a while before saying goodbye and leaving. That night, something surprising happened. He was back at his own world. Although, the sky was broken like a mirror as well as most of the solid places. He matured enough to understand what death was, unlike his past self. So he took a deep breath to calm down, and when he opened his eyes, the sky was with a beautiful sunset. He stood amongst an endless field of yellow roses, sunflowers, and other gold/yellow colored flowers. The horizon was golden. It was something worth experiencing as the sun brushed on his skin. He knew that all the other locations of his headspace no longer existed, along with the residents.
And now, he was back at his first ever creation in this world; The Golden Horizon. It was sad to say goodbye, but he finally accepted it. He had closed his eyes one last time before this world disappeared forever. He no longer suffered from the grief of his sister’s death, nor had to miss school. He sighed hardly, managing to smile one last time in this world.
