Characters and Settings
The movie called The Social Network shows us how and under what conditions Facebook, which we all know now, was founded. Our main characters are Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, The Winklewoss Twins, Sean Parker and Divya Narrendra. The movie takes place in 2003-2004 mostly in Harvard University.
Plot of The Movie
One night, Mark who gets drunk after breaking up with his girlfriend and starts to update his blog page by consistently posting positive and negative comments about her. He gets more drunk and starts to write thousands of codes in 1 night to hack the database of harvard and create a website called “facemash” which is all about comparing girl students of the Harvard University. After finishing coding in 2 hours, the website quickly becomes popular and Harvard’s network crashes. The next day, Mark, who has become a little popular, is offered a job by the Winklewoss brothers, who are rich and in the rowing team of Harvard. The twins’s idea was called “HarvardConnection” which is a website where only people who had e-mail ending with harvard.edu can sign up search and learn abour other people , make new friends who are also from Harvard. Mark immediately accepts the offer but ignores the Winklewoss brothers and Divya Narrendra(fiend of Winklewoss brothers) for months, steals their idea and publishes thefacebook.com. with the help of his friend Eduardo Saverin. The website had 650 people sign up on the first day, and within months Mark brought the system to other schools. But Mark, who had bigger dreams, met Sean Parker, the founder of Napster. His company grew a lot globally, but then he first fired his friend Eduado from the company and then broke up with Sean.
As a result of lawsuits, Winklewoss broteers recieved a settlement of 65 million dollard and signed a non-disclosure agreement, Eduardo Saverin receivedd an unknown setlement.
What I Liked The Most
What i liked the most about the movie is probably the story and the soundtracks, but mostly the soundtracks. After watching the movie, sometimes I am listenning to the soundtracks when I am busy with something because the music makes me focus more on whatever I am doing.
This movie is my favorite and will probably remain my favorite for a long time, I recommend you to watch it.
