If you like thrilling and exciting movies more than comedy or dramatic ones, and not triggered by scary scenes or scenes that contain death then you are a perfect match for bird box. Even though the name is not that interesting, I can guarantee that you will like the plot and won’t realize how time passes while watching the movie. It’s a pretty reactionary and gripping film where Sandra Bullock, Malorie, and Trevante Rhodes, Tom, shares the lead role.
So basically what happens in the film is that one day, where everything was going normal, a weird creature comes out of nowhere, hypnotizes everyone that sees him and tricks them into killing them selves. Malorie has a son and she does everything in her power to protect him. She unites with some survivors and manages to stay safe for a while until some intruders caused her friends death by tricking them into lookin at the creature. Malorie’s best friend Olympia also has a child that’s a girl. When Olympia understands that she is going to die, she askes Malorie to make a promise that she will look after her little girl and Malorie accepts it without a doubt. After that Malorie finds another shelter with survivors and she meets with Tom there. They fall in love and move out to live together. But then Tom dies and Malorie has to take a hard journey to save her childs.
I would definitely recommend this movie to everyone because it’s such an iconic movie and is very popular too. Production and the plot is thought out in detail. Also the cast consists of some very successful and famous actors such as Sandra Bullock and John Malkovich. I would rate this movie a solid 8 out of 10 because even though the plot is very interesting, the death scenes are so heartbreaking. But It’s totally worth the time, so go and watch it!
