3,2,1… Happy New Year! Hey, I am Alisha, and this is a new year in my life, in everyone’s life actually. Because we just entered a new year, 2024. We celebrated it with my family. We opened presents, ate food, played games… I really enjoyed it, and I hope that 2024 will be enjoyable too. We talked for a while, then decided to go to sleep.
I just woke up. This is the first day of the new year, January 1, 2024. I looked out the window and saw snow. This is a wonderful way to start a new year. I opened the window and took a deep breath of the snowy air. Then I went to the kitchen and ate breakfast with my family. Later on, I opened the television, and scrolled some channels. Most of the channels had morning news. I started watching. The news reporter was talking about a touristic place that was overcrowded by tourists last weekend. Many people wanted to see the place covered in snow. The place had a mesmerizing waterfall. That waterfall looked really familiar; I could have sworn I saw it before. I probably saw it on the internet. I switched the channel. The same news came up on this channel too. The place had trees, but not normal ones, pink, completely pink trees. I remembered those trees from somewhere. Wanting to watch something different, I switched the channel again and saw the same place again! I saw a tree house made from pink wood. The whole place looked so much like my imaginary world, the one I created in my head when I was younger. Maybe it was just a coincidence, though. I switched the channel for the fourth time, and guess what? The same news again, just on a different channel. This time I saw a candy house from the place, and switched the channel, I saw the same news for the fifth time. Five different channels, but different pieces of the same news. I saw a doll lying on the grass this time. That was my doll, the doll I loved but lost when I was a child. What was that doing there? This wasn’t a coincidence at this point. The TV said that the place has the name “The Glittery Falls” I looked the name up on the internet, but nothing came up. I looked it up on social media too, but there was nothing. It was like this place was imaginary, from my imagination, but then how is it on television? How is it possible?
“Alisha, Alisha, wake up!” I opened my eyes. Was everything really a dream? I guess so. I got out of bed and told my parents about my unusual dream. Then I opened the television. The morning news showed up: “The Glittery Falls” . My imaginary place.
