Last Salvation

The last movie I watched was actually a movie that affected me very deeply. I haven’t had time to watch movies or TV series for a long time, but my friend and I thought it would be good for us to go to the cinema and watch a movie. The name of the movie we went to was Ataturk.

We were also happy to watch this movie on the 100th anniversary of our republic. It was an unforgettable experience for us.

The film dealt with Ataturk’s youth, childhood and war times, and featured the successful actor Aras Bulut, who played the leading role (Ataturk). Besides physically resembling Ataturk, I think more successful actors could have been included. Again, I think that Halil Ergenç, whom we know from a historical TV series, can play this role better. The acting of the actors in the other side characters was equally good.

In the series, Ataturk’s childhood was depicted very well, and it was well shown that he had an aptitude for military service since his childhood. At the same time, Atatürk’s sadness at his father’s death was reflected beautifully in the film.

In addition, Ataturk’s VI imprisonment with unfounded slanders for a period of 2 months. He was kept in prison because it was thought that Mehmet was assassinated, but despite his imprisonment, Ataturk, who thought about the freedom of his homeland and our republic until the end, still attracted attention. This film, which did not have a complete ending, continued until the beginning of the Gallipoli War. We hope the second movie will be released.

The only point I criticize in the movie is that the events are handled very complicatedly (i.e., while his youth is being discussed, he goes back to his childhood and then goes back to his youth again) and some important events are not handled. Although the Sarıkamış operation was very important in the declaration of the republic, they did not carry out this operation.

Apart from that, the movie is exactly the kind of movie that can be watched by 11-12 year old children while instilling their love of the country. I definitely recommend everyone to watch it. I rate this movie 9 out of 10.
