The Hidden Future

I decided to go to the local orphange to find more children to save. I always tear up whenever I look around and see the state of the world I was in. Building were collapsed, there was no sight of nature, it was really rare to encounter a normal and stable person. ‘’What do you mean by a ‘stable person’?‘’ You might ask. Well, some mad terrorists invented a hat looking machine which turns people into agressive, violence enjoyers. And just in two years the world turned into a hell like this. Trying to find something edible isnt enough, I need to not get caught by them too.

A while ago I’ve heard that people that were not affected by the machine hats found a way to disable them and save the people that were affected. And as soon as I learned about this, I traded some food to get my hands on the blueprint of the cause of all this mess. Now that I have it, I can save the ones that I want.

Its been hours since I started searching the orphanage after arriving here. I have looked through the kitchen, the dining room (it was difficult to understand which room was which because everything was turned into debris) and I havent made much progress in the rooms where children slept too. I was starting to lose hope and then I heard a loud plunk in one of the rooms and immediately ran over there. I opened the door and observed the room in a hurry. There were three beds on the right side of the room and two on the left. After I entered the room I saw two small desks that were in contact with the wall which had the door I entered the room through. All the closets were broken apart except for one. Yes! That’s where that loud noise came from! I went over there with cautious steps since the kid probably has those hats on then put my hand on the closet’s handle, thinking about if I open it fast or slowly. Even though I havent thought much about it the door opened and something jumped on me, it was the kid. He had a knife in his hand and as he was almost going to slit my throat, I reached behind his head and flipped a switch that I knew about its existence after looking though the blueprint. The kid paused for a second and then fell on me. I could feel a sudden sensation of misery in me, how could people cause a kid to get into a state like this? I picked him up and placed him and the blueprint on the bed that was the most okay one to use.  Then I started work on the hat, It had claws that got into his head so if I made a wrong move the boy could die from brain damage.

After around an hour, my ‘surgery’ succeded and I had rolled some bandages around the boys head at the end so he wouldnt bleed out. I sighed deeply and hoped that the kid would be fine and wake up atleast after half an hour. And exactly what I expected happened, the boy was alive! He was confused and he shied away from me at first. But after reassuring him for a few minutes he told me where his friends went and said he would trust me if I saved them too. I thanked him for helping me out about the location of the kids.

Other people try to save strong or intellegent people but I believe the reason they dont focus on the kids is because they dont want to ‘deal with’ taking care of them. But kids are our future and we should not have any excuses to ignore them. That is why I am on my way to find more kids to save and take care of for everyone’s future. I will continue writing in my diary tomorrow night.
