The Real Hero

Without a doubt, we know that all jobs touch our lives in a way. Some of them make our life easier, while others provide to sustain our lives. There are even some jobs that save our lives…

Sometimes we turn our little troubles into big problems. Those big problems that stress us out in our daily life are actually very small when we look at the big picture. I understand this much better these days. Every day, people wake up to the news of the death of their families and friends. Maybe some of them are still waiting to be rescued from under the rubble. All we can do is wait for their good news. I know that there is only one emotion that millions of people feel: helplessness. I understand better now that there is nothing more important and irreplaceable in the world than our life. At the same time, millions of people died in the past years due to the coronavirus. That’s why I think medicine is one step ahead of other jobs. Because being a doctor sometimes means putting your own life on the back burner. Just saving someone’s life is a big deal. Imagine doing this many times a day. Imagine touching the lives of many people every day. I can’t think of a more precious feeling that can replace it.

Of course, it is very important to be successful in other professions. For example, engineering is one of the other known jobs. It is also very important for now and the future because it is related to technology. Technology is the new future. Engineering is very important for today’s world, which cannot survive for a second without technology. With the increasing need and dependence on technology, the importance and power of engineering are also increasing. In fact, many jobs are now slowly being replaced by robots. In this world where technology is developing rapidly, one of the rare jobs that robots cannot replace is medicine. Because robots are not yet reliable enough to entrust people’s lives. Some scientists argue that this will be possible in the future. Although technology is used a lot in medicine, I do not think that it can completely replace the human brain.

That’s why being a doctor who touches people’s lives is much more than being a successful engineer. Until robots take the place of doctors.
