Currently, there are now more than 82 million refugees and displaced people all around the world. With 89.3 million people displaced in 2021, the Ukraine war has encouraged the number of people forced to flee their homes over 100 million. The numbers reflect the conflict in Ukraine as well as ongoing conflict and disaster in countries such as Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Ethiopia, and Venezuela. Overall, the number of displaced persons has more than doubled compared to last ten years alone. The International Rescue Committee calls for global action to make this World Refugee Day a turning point in the campaign for dignity for the world’s displaced people.
One of the troubled countries on refugee problem is Lebanon : Since 2019, the condition has dragged on a bad to worse situation , with majority amount popular protests directly leading to the Prime Minister’s resignation. Then, in 2020, Beirut was cracked by a huge explosion, which killed more than 200 people, injured more than 6,000 and left over 300,000 homeless More than 50 per cent of the population live below the poverty line. Perhaps never before has a country that receives refugees had a greater need for the rest of the world to step up and help. Some countries doesn’t have enough power to deal this problem, this problem is much bigger than it seems , If you can’t solve it will cause cultural, economical problems and anyone wouldn’t want a watch countries collapse because of refugee problem , idea of solving this solution by country just itself , is an unrealistic hope, already countries like Jordan , Uganda, Lebanon has their own political issues, isn’t it unrealistic to think about a powerless country to solve their own problems while adding them other problems, or adding new things that will increase that issues rate? of course it’s unrealistic
It would be much easier for governments and world to divide refugees in countries, also to help refugees countries to end their political issues is an idea that easily comes to our minds ,while having this kind of chances, why would we decide watching a country to collapse , these are unrealistic, and optimistic ideas that will not bring productive solutions to our issue
