Enchanting

She stared into his eyes. A dreamy shade of brown. He looked breathtaking. His chestnut locks were framing his face and the little beauty mark right under his left eye completed the look. He looked just perfect. She admired all his features under the blinding lights of the sun. The sunshine peeking through the car windows danced on his skin. The little breeze she could feel on her face made his eyelashes flutter. He was just perfect. She wanted to stay in this moment forever. She was so in love with this man that she wanted to stare at his gorgeous face forever. Wanted to be in his arms, feel his warmth, smell his cologne.

There was one little problem though.. He had no idea she liked him. They were the closest friends. But she was scared  of telling him how she really felt. She was afraid that he might leave her just like all the other boys. She was scared of getting her heart broken once more. All she wanted was love. The most innocent feeling in the world. But she was also scared of love. Scared of what might come out of it. What if he didn’t like her back? What if he didn’t want to be her friend anymore? What if the love she had for him ruined everything they had? How can the most innocent feeling in the whole wide world be so dangerous? All these emotions made her want to cry. But she was happy that he was there with her. So she kept quiet. She couldn’t take the risk. It was painful but she didn’t know what else to do.

They kept driving. They were going to a beach house for the weekend. We weather was astonishing. The pinkish orange hues of the clouds made her skin shine like gold. Her brown hair looked almost blonde under the sun and her hazel eyes sparkled like jades. Her eyes wandered nervously with her lashes fluttering. She didn’t know what to do. She put on a Lana Del Ray song and turned to the beautiful boy next to her. As soon as he heard the song his head turned her way as well. They smiled at each other knowing it’s their favorite song.

When they arrived at the house it was beautiful. Inside the house was so well-decorated that it even looked too luxurious to be a beach house. But the view was prettier. They went out to check out the see. They put their feet in the water and it was freezing. Suddenly she felt a splash of ice cold water on her face and sundress. She turned to the boy with a bug-eyed expression. He was laughing to the point his ribs hurt. She kicked some water towards him and he got wet all over.

They started chasing each other trying to get the other wet but they ended up falling down together. Suddenly they were staring at each other. It was just them and the see. Her heart was racing like it was going to come out of her chest. Then she realized she wasn’t alone. He could feel the racing heart under his hand that belonged to a beautiful boy. His expression turned shy. She was blushing. Their faces were too close. A second or two passed and he was staring at her plump, peach colored lips. Then their lips met.

It was enchanting. Like they were under a love spell. But it felt amazing. When they broke apart they were panting and smiling. Words weren’t enough to describe how happy she felt. All the anxiety she got from the feelings she had for this boy was for nothing because the boy liked her back. Loved her even.

“I wish I could do magic..” she whispered. He looked at her, curiously. “So i could live this moment again and again.”
