Encounter from the past

It was only seconds before the new year… a brand new beginning. It’s similar to having a large blank sheet of paper to sketch on.. And, just then I saw her. After I saw her, my new beginning didn’t feel so fresh. When I first saw her, I felt shivers because she appeared to be a ghost from my past. She had connections with my youth. She was the best and most important friend I ever had. She’s someone I’ve been desperately missing. My soul mate, she was like my other half. She only makes me remember my past.

Everybody has buddies in their lives. It may be a close friend from school, a neighbor, or a person who lives far away. Our friends are the people we care about and love the most, yet we also argue with them occasionally and lose interest in talking to them for a while. Even though arguments happen frequently in all friendships, it’s crucial to remember the positive memories and make an effort to get past the negative ones. But unfortunately that didn’t happen in my story. She was the cause of my tears. Now, she was a nobody for me. If you wonder what happened, let me tell you from the beginning. I don’t really recall how we first became friends, our mothers were best friends from university so I basically grew up with her. But I do remember that it remained strong throughout the years. We kept being friends despite several challenges and obstacles. We used to talk trash, dress up, and become school partners together as well as gossip about our crushes. I thought of her as my best friend. We were best friends up until the second semester of eighth grade. After a confrontation with her, she began isolating me from my friends and continued doing so all year. Apparently, she was envious of me. That year I have just seen a lot of change in her. I was unable to recognize my best friend. We lost contact after what happened. She noticed me after I saw her. Then she gave me one quick glance before continuing to go…
