To understand what makes people happy we have to learn what is happiness. Happiness is a subjective sense of well-being and a bright and positive outlook toward life. And there are some things in your body like serotonin, dopamine, endorphins, and oxytocin which help you to promote happiness and pleasure while reducing depression and anxiety. For understanding better happiness let’s have a look at these hormones.

Firstly, Dopamine is an important part of your brain’s reward system which is also known as the feel-good hormone. It also has a relation with memorizing and learning besides pleasurable sensations. Secondly, Oxytocin is often called a “love hormone”. Oxytocin Levels generally increase with physical affection. Thirdly, Serotonin helps regulate your mood as well as your sleep, appetite, digestion, learning ability, and memory. Fourthly and lastly, Endorphins hormones are your body’s natural pain reliever, which your body produces in response to stress or discomfort. Endorphin levels often increase when eating or working out.

What makes people happy? Happiness is a mysterious and complex emotion. Some peoples say being happy is a choice, but some for that it’s innate. I don’t know which side is true but I know that if you want to be happy, there are some easy things to do. Such as making happiness a priority, paying attention to positive ways despite negative things, being mindful, and doing what excites.

Some people believe that eating chocolate releases the happiness hormone. To some research, especially dark chocolate stimulates the production of endorphins in our brains, and consuming chocolate may help improve your mood and make you feel calmer and more content. In addition, dark chocolates with high cocoa content have serotonin in them. So there is a close-knit correlation between the nutrients we intake and our moods and behaviors.

In conclusion, there are a few hormones that help people to become happy. And this complex emotion can occur with a few little things. There is a connection between foods and your mood.
