Error: No Internet Connection

Our older relatives keep telling us that life used to be so different back in their childhood. No television, no Internet, no phones, no computers… There used to be nothing electronic and people back then still managed to have the best time of their lives. It is easier to imagine and emphasize than actually be in those people’s shoes, though. These days, we do everything on our personal computers or smart phones and we need the Internet. We are all addicted to this, not because they’re addictive but because we really need them.

No one can imagine a day without Internet and this is really sad. I try to imagine how it would be like to have no Internet in the world for a whole day. I would not have anything to do, everything would be so boring and would feel so empty. Since we are already used to living like this, it is almost impossible for us now to spend time without the Internet which means it was definitely easier for older generation who had never spent time playing online games or liking videos on Instagram.

However, in a situation like this, we can’t just sit and do nothing. Reading and spending time with your family definitely sound like a good idea. Other than that, basic tasks like doing homework, doing the laundry, washing the dishes, cleaning the house obviously don’t require network connection which makes them good options, too. The idea of getting to hang out with a friend or a loved one in person without people bothering you with message notifications sounds amazing, doesn’t it? Added to the “to do when the day Internet gets out of our lives comes” list, then. Cooking for hours with new recipes also sounds like therapy to me. Seems like a day without Internet wouldn’t be so bad after all, right? It is still possible to have fun without having to use the Internet.

Having to spend a day without using the Internet might sound like a nightmare at first but if we try to be a little optimistic, there are a lot of fun things to do that are also way better for our physical and mental health.
