Is Population Affecting Our Lifestyle?

Population means the total number of people living in a country, in a region, in a house, that is, the population. In countries, the population generally increases with each passing year. But with some exceptions. For example, during the First World War, countries recruited soldiers and recruited workers to protect their own people and expand their borders. As a result of the war, the population has been decreased. Day by day the people are killing each other. After the year 1920, the countries can not increase their population easily. Because of the shortage.

So let’s talk about the shortage of population. Why there is a shortage in population? What are the effects of the population shortage? The size and demographics of the population change when fewer children are born, families with children move to larger towns and cities also the young and better-educated people move to larger towns and cities. Of course, there is need to be some consequences of this decreasing. When young people move to bigger towns and cities, the average age of the population in the place they leave behind automatically goes up. A community with a higher proportion of older inhabitants may be less attractive to businesses, which may additionally have difficulty finding suitable staff locally. So let’s give some examples for this situation. Fewer schools, due to there being fewer children,a drop in house prices because more homes are unoccupied, fewer new homes being built, less demand for rented accommodation, fewer care facilities, less turnover for shopkeepers and businesses, fewer sports facilities, fewer people going to the theatre, cinema or concerts, so these facilities are eventually cut back, fewer people traveling by public transport, which thus costlier to run, local residents have to travel further to reach the facilities they want. As a result of these situations, there can be direct effect on the economy. The economy can collapse because of the shortage of businesses and shortage on the workforce.

Consequently, the decrease on the population is really affecting the country economy and the welfare of the people. Because when there is a shortage on the population business can not also afford to resume on their works. This can directly cause great problems for the people welfare more important than the welfare it can effect the country economy. There can be the same situation if the population is increasing rapidly. The government needs to make a new job opportunities for the big population and it can be a big problem for creating a new job for every unit in the country.
