Thingy Thing, Destructive Effects

Is there anyone who thinks nuclear bombs are useful? I don’t think so. As we all know, nuclear bombs have enormous effects, “negative” ones. These effects can be really damaging for both the world and humanity. Therefore this idea of having nuclear bombs with narrower effects is non-sense. Let me tell you why.

First of all, it is against human rights. In the 2/1 Article of the European Convention for human rights, it says “Everyone’s right to life shall be protected by law.”(you can find the link from the references part) Human life is sacred and protected by the law and there is nothing higher than the law and the human rights in the world. Anything against them should be eliminated immediately. Nuclear bombs threaten human life even when they have narrower effects. Still, they are harmful to life in the world.

Secondly, no one can guarantee that the nuclear bombs with narrower effects are going to bring peace. I mean weapons are made to fight, not to bring peace and maintain it. The usage of nuclear bombs would only bring mutual annihilation between the countries, causing chaos and perhaps the end of the world. I want to remind you what happened in Hiroshima(広島) and Nagasaki(長崎).  It is recorded that, “On August 6, 1945, during World War II (1939-45), an American B-29 bomber dropped the world’s first deployed atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The explosion immediately killed an estimated 80,000 people; tens of thousands more would later die of radiation exposure. Three days later, a second B-29 dropped another A-bomb on Nagasaki, killing an estimated 40,000 people.”(you can find the link from the references part) A nuclear bomb with a narrower effect may not cause this much damage and death, but still, thousands would die.

What I’m saying is the effects of nuclear bombs cannot be underestimated and the idea of using “any” weapon to bring peace is a terrible idea. If peace is wanted, we should be looking for more civilized ways of getting it.
