23 October 1923

The form of state in which the nation holds its sovereignty and exercises it through representatives elected for certain periods of time is called a republic. And Mustafa Kemal Atatürk declared the Republic on 29 October 1923.With the declaration of the republic, the people had the right to have a say in the government, so the Turkish people were able to elect their own president. At the same time, the first president of the Republic of Turkey was Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. At the same time, the republic is one of the most democratic forms of government. So, what were the effects of the declaration of the republic on the Turkish people?

First of all, with the declaration of the republic, the right to live was fully realized. Previously, the right to live in the Republic of Turkey was not fully implemented. The word of a high-ranking person had an impact on the life of a commoner.Secondly, the right to education has been the same for people of all statuses. That is, every human being has the right to education, but every person who is not educated according to their status has the right to education. The third is to give women the right to vote and to be elected. Before the republic was declared, women almost had no place in society, but after the proclamation of the republic, women were given some rights. The fourth is freedom of religion and conscience. Every citizen living within the borders of Turkey has the right to believe in and defend any religion he wishes. and this situation has actually contributed greatly to the development of our country.

Long story short, today, the declaration of the republic on 29 October is still celebrated and demonstrations are held.At the same time, the declaration of the republic made many contributions to the Turkish Republic. Many rights were brought to children, adults, women and men.In addition, it enabled us to become a democratic country and supported that every individual has equal rights regardless of their status. And with this innovation, the Turkish people have experienced great joy.
